2010 is upon us and the whole committee is looking forward to June already! We know that you guys are also keen because the emails asking for dates have been growing since the end of October. Looks like we'll have some old friends on the field come the end of June and we've already had interest from a couple of new groups.
For now the really important bit to know is that the dates have been set as the 26th & 27th June.
We're aiming to have all the team documentation ready by mid to end of February so you'll be able to enter teams earlier, get sponsors earlier and prepare earlier
As the demise of cheque books over the next couple of years will mean that it won't be possible to use them we'll be looking to use electronic registration and collection of sponsorship. This will certainly make the Team Captains' and the Admin team's roles much easier, mean fewer hiccups and hopefully monies will be in and redistributed much more quickly. We appreciate that this will mean adjustments for some people and there may be a few wrinkles the first time. For this reason we aim to have this as an option this year so that we can learn together.
So, get planning, get training and get ready to enter...
2009 unfortunately isn't quite over for the admin team. There are still a couple of teams yet to return their sponsorship, so if your team is one of those, we'd appreciate a quick tidy up on your part. Specifically if you have any cheques from June last year they are (or are about to) be uncashable. Could you please return all monies in the next couple of weeks to the Treasurer. Details of how and where are in your Captain's packs.
